Follow the Trend:  Join the Litigation Section

On behalf of the San Antonio Bar Association Litigation Section, we want to invite you to join the Litigation Section.  For just $25, you will have access to networking opportunities with fellow trial lawyers and judges, all while sharpening your trial skills.

A few of our past programs include:

  • Cooking with the Judges:  Judges present updates and trial tips while cooking - well, sort of.  The judges provide CLE programs while a Central Market chef provides cooking demonstrations.  Participating judges have included Judges Prado, Furgeson, Simmons Speedlin, Nellermoe and our well-remembered judge, Judge Andy Mireles.
  • More effective visual aids and presentations:  A two-hour CLE luncheon in Judge Littlejohn's courtroom. Several high caliber lawyers revealed tips about technology in the Courtroom and Judge Littlejohn presided over the presentation.  Nick Rodriguez, the Court Technology Support Specialist for Bexar County Information Services, explained the technology available in the Court.
  • Expert Witness Seminar: Expert Witness Seminar by Kimberly Keller.
  • False Claims Act and other Whistleblower Litigation:  Presented by Judge John Clark, Richard Danysh and Harold Brown.
  • Court Administration Task Force:  Panelists Martha Dickie, Hon. Ken Wise, Alister Dawson and Senator Jeff Wentworth; moderator Lamont Jefferson.
  • High Tech Courtroom:  Technology in the Courtroom presented by Judge John Specia, the Information Systems of Bexar County representatives (Nick Rodriguez and Carl Buckert) and trial lawyer Jon Powell.
  • Current Trends and Problems in Family and Civil Law Litigation:  Presented by J. Ken Nunley, Harold Zuflacht, Judge Lori Massey, Victor Negron, Kristal Cordova and Cheryl Wilson; moderator Robin Teague.

And many more!

We are gearing up for several new programs this bar year.  As a member, you too can be a part of them.  Access to all this for only $25?  It's a no-brainer!  Just check the box in your SABA renewal statement for Litigation Section membership, or contact the SABA office at 210.227.8822.  Checks should be made payable to SABA for the Litigation Section.  We hope to see you soon!
